Pickleball in Clarksburg, West Virginia
Clarksburg's pickleball center is Veterans Memorial Park, where nine dedicated outdoor courts support free play, recurring morning sessions, and regional tournaments. Harrison County Pickleball organizes open play Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to noon.
Indoor play is available at the Harrison County YMCA in Clarksburg and The Bridge Sports Complex in nearby Bridgeport. Beginners and solo visitors should start with the organized morning group at Veterans Memorial Park rather than treating open court hours as a guarantee of players.
Clarksburg and Bridgeport Pickleball Facilities
- Veterans Memorial Park, 2 Veterans Memorial Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26301. The park has nine dedicated outdoor hard courts with permanent lines and nets. Use is free, and restrooms and water are available. Open play runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to noon. The city also rents the court area for tournaments and group events. - Harrison County YMCA, 1 Lowndes Hill Park Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26302. The YMCA has two indoor wood courts with permanent lines and portable nets. Membership is required, and courts can be reserved. The indoor option is useful during cold or wet weather, but gym availability changes with other YMCA programs.
- The Bridge Sports Complex, 400 Forrester Boulevard, Bridgeport, WV 26330. The nearby complex sets up indoor pickleball courts on its hard court space and provides portable nets. Access is through The Bridge membership and program system. The facility is open Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, though pickleball uses only scheduled court periods. - Bridgeport City Park, 515 Johnson Avenue, Bridgeport, WV 26330. The park has eight lighted outdoor pickleball courts. They are free, open to the public throughout the year, and available until 10:00 PM.
Joining Your First Clarksburg Game
New players can start with Harrison County Pickleball at Veterans Memorial Park on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday from 9:00 AM to noon. Arrive near the start of the session, introduce yourself to the group, and enter the open play rotation. The free public courts already have permanent nets.

Morning Open Play and Upcoming Events
Recurring open play runs at Veterans Memorial Park every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to noon. Weather can move or cancel an outdoor session, and Harrison County Pickleball carries those updates.
The Pickleball Showdown West Virginia tournament runs September 25 through 27, 2026 at Veterans Memorial Park, with singles, doubles, and mixed divisions from 3.0 through 4.5 and above. Enter the Pickleball Showdown. World Pickleball Funday follows on October 10 with open play and a round robin format.
Playing During a Clarksburg Visit
Solo visitors can join the 9:00 AM open play session at Veterans Memorial Park on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. Use the Harrison County Pickleball group for weather changes and arrive with a paddle and balls. Permanent nets are in place, and court use is free.
Visitors with partners can use the park's nine courts outside organized hours or drive to Bridgeport City Park for eight free lighted courts until 10:00 PM. The Harrison County YMCA and The Bridge provide indoor alternatives, but both use membership or program access rather than unrestricted public court time.
